Reporting to the Compliance Director, this newly created role will be responsible for the expansion of our compliance function and working closely with engineering, delivery and product teams to ensure we align with our financial regulation roadmap. The successful applicants will be at the forefront of creating a SaaS offering for Thought Machine and Vault.

DUTIES

  • Work closely with Thought Machine’s engineering and delivery teams to ensure Vault is built in accordance with Thought Machine’s financial regulation roadmap.
  • Ensure Though Machine's SaaS controls relating to security, confidentiality, availability, processing integrity and privacy meet best practice and pass external audits/reviews undertaken by our customers or third party reviews.
  • Help with the expansion of Thought Machine’s compliance function, building out the team, creating new policies and updating existing policies.
  • Project management of cross-organisational change/transformation Governance projects.
  • Project status reports and dashboards.

Requirements

Essential

  • 2+ years’ experience working in a compliance regulation or consultancy role.
  • Ability to work within a cross functional environment particularly with engineering and delivery functions.
  • Experience working in a compliance function in a company that provides a SaaS platform/ solution
  • High energy and the desire to work in a fast moving environment.

Desirable

  • Sufficient proficiency in systems and process design so as to provide requirements to engineering and delivery teams.
  • Experience in fintech or financial services (specifically retail banking)
