Our mission is to cure one of the banking industry's primary problems: its reliance on outdated IT infrastructure. Nearly every bank is stuck on a legacy IT platform, which cripples their ability to innovate and give their customers the type of service they deserve.

Our solution to this is Vault: a complete retail banking platform that is capable of being configured easily to suit the needs of any bank. We have built Vault from the ground up as a cloud native, microservice API architecture platform. Thought Machine prides itself on having one of the best technology recruitment functions in London. It is currently expanding its recruitment capability to focus on sales, marketing, partnerships and programme management and needs a talented leader for the in-house recruitment team.

DUTIES

  • Working closely with our Sales and Marketing team to understand recruitment needs and achieve ambitious recruitment goals
  • Building and managing a team of in house commercial recruiters
  • Developing tailored strategies for hiring across different roles and levels – e.g. students, interns, experienced hires etc
  • Continuously exploring ways to enhance the recruitment process, e.g. by gathering feedback from all candidates and researching techniques used by other firms to attract talent
  • Promoting Thought Machine and our employee value proposition among prospective candidates
  • Together with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring best practice resourcing methods are used;
  • Managing senior stakeholders within the business to ensure the smooth running of process, right fit candidates and high levels of engagement with their teams;
  • Working with external communications to ensure the external brand is reflected in recruitment
  • Acting as regional functional expert and own the functional development path for recruitment functions experts. Build, train and maintain the recruitment team;
  • Behaving as a role model for change and performance improvement;
  • Producing insights and fact-based evidence that enable improved decision making within and external to your business area;

Requirements

  • Experience in recruiting across sales and marketing roles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to manage stakeholders from across the business, and manage candidates through the recruitment process in a way that is efficient, friendly, trusting and respectful
  • Comfortable with numbers and able to draw insights from analytics to make our hiring process smarter and more efficient
  • Good attention to detail
  • Highly organised – able to stay on top of the recruitment process for each candidate
  • Able to balance both the day-to-day recruitment as well as strategic projects to develop ways of further enhancing our recruitment drive
  • Experience of managing a small team of recruiters
  • Hungry to find the best possible talent – ambitious, driven, hardworking and uncompromising
  • Demonstrate improvements on current time to hire, cost per hire and candidate experience;
